Libby is a self-taught entrepreneur who started way back in 1985 sewing leather, suede and fur. In 1991, she entered the Benson and Hedges Fashion Awards and was nominated for her suede hot pants and jacket outfit made with rabbit fur and silk. Shortly after, she opened a little clothing boutique under her own name in Square Edge, a renowned arts centre in Palmerston North which she had until 1995. Looking for a new adventure, Libby headed overseas. In 1997 Milly Black was established. Libby opened the store in Taupo in 2009 and it has grown into a very busy little lifestyle shop. Three decades and a million garments later she is still going strong!
